Become a Club Member!!

We are looking for people interested in paying back the community by keeping the range open to provide a safe area to enjoy the sport firearms shooting. At this point in the club’s lifespan the club members are aging. Without more active members, there is concern as to the future of the range.  We need new blood to carry on the upkeep of the range and to provide insight into what today’s shooter wants and needs.  If you enjoy the sport of shooting, consider that there are people in the community that rely on having a shooting range to pursue their sport. This is an opportunity for you to help the community.
Membership in the Menomonie Rifle and Pistol Club, LLC. is open to anyone who legally resides in the United States, is not prohibited from owning a firearm, and does not belong to an organization whose goals are to overthrow the United States, or to terrorize, harm, or discriminate against any of its citizens.
We ask for 20 hours per year of assistance from our members, based on your abilities and limitations. This can be accomplished in several ways; we need people to assist in setting up, running, and clean up for events, general maintenance at the range, working on range improvements, and be a spokesperson for the club at shows and other events.

WIIFM (What's In It For Me?)

The big question is, of course, what’s in it for me? Many of our members have a passion for firearms. Some have attended gunsmithing schools, some are prairie doggers, others have shot in competition, a few go after big game, and there are some collectors and reloaders mixed in. There is a wealth of firearms related information to be gleaned from associating with club members. There are also opportunities to shoot different firearms, and sometimes shooting equipment comes up for sale, but the big takeaway is that you are a member of an organization that give back to the community through volunteer work. If this sounds like a fit for you, talk to one of our members or come to a meeting. The meeting dates are on the Range Hours page, and are usually held the first Monday of the month.

Becoming a supervisor is also an option. There are several different levels of membership available. If you are interested in supervising at the range, please look at : Becoming a Supervisor .
