Gals and Guns

Held at the Dunn County Menomonie Public Shooting Range E6007 510th Avenue, Menomonie, WI.
This year, Gals and Guns will be held on Sat Sep 21, 2024.

      Gals and Guns is an event for women only designed to provide women with the opportunity to experience shooting several different types of firearms in a safe environment while being coached on proper firearms safety, handling, and shooting by a coach well-versed in that particular firearm. The intent of the event is for you to enjoy the experience the sport of shooting. You only shoot the firearms you wish to. Everything is included; firearms, ammunition, targets, eye and hearing protection, and lunch. Water and coffee are available through the entire event. The session runs from 10:00-3:30; Lunch (12:00-1:00) is included. The cost of the event this year is currently under review. We will reach a price in early April.
      Registration is online only. When registration opens, the registration form will show up at the bottom of this page. You may pay by credit card or check. The session is limited to 50 participants. Walk-ins will not be accepted. We always raffle off several prizes during the events. Raffles are cash only.

After a session in safe firearms handling, you will have the opportunity to shoot the following firearms:

Handguns, 22 rifles,
AR style rifles,
Muzzleloading rifles
Trap shooting with a 12 or 20 gauge shotgun
The Menomonie Archery Club provides the archery equipment and archery coaching for Gals and Guns.
